Marrs Perry

Fit. Proportion. Fabric. Done Properly.

I help men understand what actually works for their body, lifestyle, and goals.

What I Do

Most men don’t need more clothes—they need clarity.
I work one-on-one with professionals and grooms to diagnose fit issues, select appropriate fabrics, and build garments intentionally.
Everything starts with understanding proportions, not trends.

Field Notes on Menswear

Why shoulder fit matters more than chest size

Most fit problems begin at the shoulders. The chest and waist can be shaped, but the shoulder determines how the jacket hangs, moves, and balances on the body. When the shoulder is right, the rest of the jacket becomes workable; when it’s wrong, nothing else truly settles. Comfort is often a shoulder issue masquerading as a size issue.

Italian vs British cloth: who each is actually for

Italian cloth tends to prioritize drape, softness, and fluid movement, which works well for men who want comfort and ease in daily wear. British cloth is typically firmer, with more structure and resilience, making it better suited for sharper silhouettes and long days of use. Neither is “better”—they solve different problems. Choosing between them should start with lifestyle, not location.

What grooms get wrong about wedding suits

Most grooms focus on standing out, when the real goal is looking composed for an entire day. Overly tight cuts, trendy details, or ultra-formal fabrics often photograph well for ten minutes and feel wrong for ten hours. A wedding suit should balance presence with comfort, allowing you to move naturally and still look intentional. The best wedding suits don’t compete with the moment—they support it.

How many suits a professional really needs

Most professionals need fewer suits than they think, but chosen more carefully. Two or three well-considered suits—appropriate in fabric, color, and cut—cover far more situations than a crowded closet of compromises. Versatility comes from proportion and cloth choice, not quantity. The goal is rotation without redundancy.

Client Highlights

"Lucas took care of the whole process from A to Z. He walked me through different types of fabrics, linings, cuts, and stitching (among other details). He took care of all the measurements, ordering, and tweaks needed to ensure an outstanding final product. I look forward to working with Lucas again on my next suit."

- Mike H, Groom

"I wanted a versatile suit with a comfortable suit, relaxed fit. Lucas guided me through the process clearly and thoughtfully, and the result is the most comfortable suit I've ever owned. The fit, fabric and details were exactly right."
